Fondazione Migone is the reference body for the protection of the historical and commercial identity of the perfumery house founded by Angelo Migone in Milan in 1778, grown over successive generations into one of Italy's principal manufacturers of cosmetics and toiletries, trading under the names Successori Angelo Migone & C. and Migone & C.
Custodian of the house and its present institutional form: the body through which the Migone name, legacy, and commercial identity are held and administered.
Founded by a perfumer trained among the masters of Grasse, the house grew from a single shop in Milan into one of Italy's foremost manufacturers of perfumes, soaps, and cosmetics, exporting to five continents. Its name was everywhere: on trams, in the press, across the advertising of the age.
It outlasted Austrian rule, Napoleonic occupation, the Risorgimento, two world wars, and the fall of the monarchy. Through each transformation it remained part of how the city understood elegance. For nearly two centuries, it shaped taste, first in Milan, then well beyond it.
A hundred and seventy-seven years, eight governments: two Austrian, four Napoleonic, one Savoyard, the Republic. Each left its mark on the city and the market. None stopped the house.
